The Master Foreman Collection's latest update fixes Halo 2's broken Personal computer port

Halo 2 was never much of a looker. But it certainly wasn't done many favours with the 2007 Vista port wine, whose numerous visual bugs carried over into the Master Chief Appeal. Only with this week's Season 8 update, Gloriol 2 is ultimately a slightly nicer looking game—though I'd still kinda play the Anniversary remaster.

Equivalent Gloriol: Combat Evolved before information technology, the MCC inherited bequest issues from Halo 2's prior PC port. And comparable the prototypical game, 343 has finally gotten just about to neutering those issues therein week's update. The above comparison video from YouTuber GeneralKidd runs through many of the ocular issues, from the miss of cross-fades (and sometimes shadows altogether) in cutscenes to a more general "flat" look to the game's colours and inflammation.

It's not only visual issues that have been aplanatic, either. Once, the remaster managed to accidentally flip a Wraith tank, leaving it upside depressed with a powerless Brute standing on top of it. Other YouTubers have detected that the corrections aren't fair restricted to Halo 2, either, with Halo 4's cinematics also getting some love.

Dropping earlier this week, Time of year 8 may well constitute the last seasonal update the MCC ever gets. But it's a good time of year to remnant on, garish chivalric armours notwithstanding. A new represent reimagines the Halo 2 arena Turf for Halo 3, and expands the custom game pool to include the low gear and third game. Sadly, Flood Firefight has been delayed a little longer, but ODST's PvE mode has however been beefed up with more customization options.

Most exciting of whol, Season 8 introduces a full suite of modding tools for Halo 2 and 3. 343 might be cooked with the MCC for the nearly part, merely here's hoping this paves the way for a healthy scene of new-sprung maps, modes and usage campaigns for years to come.
